Wake Alternative Break (WAB) is a weeklong alternative spring break program for Wake Forest University undergraduates. Through WAB, students have the opportunity to travel to cities in the United States within driving distance. During the week, students will focus on a particular social justice issue; engage in readings, reflections, and blogging; and participate in direct service. Visit the WAB Instagram to see students’ experiences on prior trips. Participants are accepted on a rolling basis. Once registration is closed, participants will meet with their WAB trip leaders to prepare for their trips.

WAB 2019 trip locations will be announced in September 2018.
Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis and can be accessed here. Please allow at least a week after submission to hear back about your acceptance.
Once you are accepted, you are required to submit a $350.00 participation fee. The fee covers all program activities, transportation, and food for the program dates. You may pay by check or cash.
Checks should be made out to Wake Forest University with the student’s name in the subject line and turned into Benson 505.

Limited financial aid is available for students for which the program fee would be a financial burden. Please fill this form out if you need financial aid. Students in need of financial aid should indicate so on their applications; we seek to provide funding for all participants. There are two ways that accepted students may pay for the program. No payment is required to apply.
