Civil Rights Tour

Civil Rights Tour

The Civil Rights Tour (CRT) is a weeklong alternative spring break program, hosted through under the Wake Alternative Break (WAB) program under the Pro Humanitate Institute. This academic year, CRT will take place from March 5-11, 2017.

Through CRT, students have the opportunity to travel to cities in the United States integral in shaping the civil rights movement. During the week, students will learn about civil rights leaders; engage in readings, reflections, and blogging; and participate in direct service. Visit the CRT Tumblr to read about students’ experiences on prior trips.

Participants are accepted on a rolling basis. Once registration is closed, participants will meet with their WAB trip leaders to prepare for their trips.

CRT 2017  trip locations will be announced in September 2016.
