PHI Fellows Program

PHI Fellows Program

The Pro Humanitate Institute offers several opportunities for undergraduates students to critically think as engaged scholars and activists. Independently motivated undergraduate students can pursue community facing research interests in partnership with faculty mentors through the PHI fellows program. PHI fellows pursue independent community engaged research projects under the advising of faculty mentors and PHI staff.

PHI Fellows also work together to plan and execute programs each semester targeting campus and community audiences. The cohort receives ongoing support through workshops, mentoring, and funding.
Applications require a full project proposal, identification of a faculty adviser, and a CV. The PHI Fellows program is open to Wake Forest University undergraduate students in their sophomore year or above.

After you complete this application, please email your full project proposal and your CV to Shelley Sizemore (gravessa@wfu.edu). Project proposals should consider the following questions: Who will be impacted by your research? How does your research connect with community identified needs/issues? How does your research build off of community assets? Application packets will not be considered complete until the application, project proposal, and CV have all been submitted.
