Below are a few resources for faculty looking to access funding, increase their knowledge base, or get to know community partners. In addition to these resources, each month we will highlight outstanding RFPs, conference opportunities, awards and events.
ACE Digital Learning Community: All Wake Forest faculty can access our ACE digital learning community. This google site offers scholarly articles on community engaged teaching, research, and scholarship practices across disciplines; sample syllabi; and other useful resources.
NC Campus Compact: A state chapter of Campus Compact, NCCC’s website is a great resource for information on state and national community engagement. In addition to their annual Civiv Engagement Institute, NCCC hosts meetings on specific content areas and pedagogical practices throughout the year. They also provide funding for engaged faculty and welcome faculty proposals for conference presentations.
HandsOn NWNC : Hands On NWNC is a great resource for learning more about the nonprofit sector in the region. In addition to HandsOn Connect, the largest portal for volunteer opportunities in the area, their website and newsletter feature job openings, local, regional, and national funding opportunities, and opportunities for personal and professional development. Throughout the year they host events like a board networking social where individuals looking to be more engaged in nonprofit work can meet organizations that are recruiting board members.
