Winston-Salem Community Action Coalition

Established in 2016, Winston-Salem Community Action Coalition aims to eradicate poverty in Winston-Salem by building capacity in local nonprofits and civic organizations. The Pro Humanitate Institute partners with AmeriCorps*VISTA to host six national service members, who focus on housing, employment, financial literacy, health, and education. The community partners for this project include Habitat for Humanity of Forsyth Co., Urban League of Winston-Salem, Diaper Bank of the Triad, Boston Thurmond Neighborhood, Cook Elementary School, Kids Cooking Coalition, and Pro Humanitate Institute of Wake Forest University.
