The Summer Nonprofit Immersion Program (SNIP) is a summer immersion program that brings together undergraduates at Wake Forest University with community partners to enhance both the learning of the student and the capacity of the nonprofit partner. The student participants selected are seeking scholarly, professional, and personal development through intensive work in the nonprofit sector. Ideal community partners are able to provide committed mentoring and supervision to the student and a work plan that enriches the capacity of their organization while connecting to the student’s academic and/or professional interests.

The Pro Humanitate Institute will select between 13 student Fellows for the summer of 2017. SNIP fellows will be provided housing and given a modest $750 stipend in exchange for working an average of 30 hours per week with their community partners. In addition to their work with assigned partners, Fridays will be reserved for Fellow seminars where students will dive more deeply into academic questions surrounding civic engagement, volunteerism, nonprofit management, and social justice. SNIP will run from June 5th- July 28th. SNIP Fellows will take an introductory intensive seminar from June 5-7th to prepare them for their work with partners. They will work at their placements June 8-July 28th. The application for SNIP Fellows will close on February 20th. Interviews will take place the following week of February 27th.
